1 October — A Day of Gratitude to Ukraine’s Defenders
On 1 October, Ukraine marks Defenders Day, Veterans Day, the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks and the Feast of the Intercession of the Mother of God. These observances are united by a living tradition of service, courage and defence of one’s homeland.
The Cossack legacy recalls Ukraine’s centuries-long struggle for freedom, while the Intercession symbolises the spiritual protection long cherished by Ukrainian warriors. Today, this continuity lives on in Ukraine’s defenders and veterans.
The IQusion team honours everyone who has defended and continues to defend Ukraine. We are grateful for your courage and resilience, and for the opportunity to live and work on our own land. We bow our heads in memory of those who gave their lives for Ukraine’s freedom.
We wish you good health, a reliable home front, family warmth and a just peace as soon as possible.
