Honouring Ukraine’s National Flag Day
On 23 August, Ukraine marks National Flag Day. During the war, the blue-and-yellow flag has become a sign of freedom, rescue and the way home. It flies above Defence Forces positions, accompanies Ukrainian service members and rises again in liberated towns and villages.
Russia’s aggression against Ukraine began in 2014 and escalated into a full-scale invasion on 24 February 2022. Since then, bullets and shrapnel have torn our flag, but it has never ceased to mean what matters most: Ukraine was, is and will remain free.
The IQusion team honours Ukraine’s National Flag Day. Above all, we thank the service members and every member of the Defence Forces protecting our land right now. We bow our heads in memory of the fallen defenders. We wish our warriors strength and a safe return to their families, and Ukraine victory, a just peace and the blue-and-yellow flag above every liberated town and village.
